In the United Kingdom, Pressalit is committed to improving toilet and bathroom facilities in public places for people with disabilities. It is a major export area, for which Andrew Lowndes, Pressalit’s UK Sales Manager, is now being commended with the award of HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour.
Andrew Lowndes has been working for Pressalit for 17 years as Sales Manager in the UK and Ireland, where he has spread knowledge of Pressalit’s products for people with disabilities. His important efforts were recognised with the award of HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour, which was presented at the Danish Embassy in London.
Recognition for outstanding achievements
HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour is awarded to individuals in recognition of their unique efforts in promoting and marketing Danish products abroad. That is precisely why Andrew Lowndes of Pressalit is now receiving this prestigious award.
“It is a real honour and a great privilege to receive HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour. I am honoured to be recognised for my work, but actually the award should be dedicated to impressive team effort,” says Andrew Lowndes, Pressalit’s Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland.
In order to be considered for the Medal of Honour, the recipient must have achieved extraordinary profits in the course of the past five years. In his time at Pressalit Andrew Lowndes has managed to maintain exceedingly satisfactory sales figures in a market, in which competition is constantly increasing.
Kim Boyter, CEO of Pressalit, is delighted about this achievement: “Andrew is a highly dedicated employee who has been incredibly adept at selling our solutions abroad. He works with passion and is driven by a desire to create great solutions for our customers. So we are incredibly proud of the fact that Andrew is receiving the Medal of Honour.”
These positive export results are a result of Andrew Lowndes’s long-standing and close business relationships, which he has built up with the help of his professional and personal expertise.
Better conditions for people with disabilities
Andrew Lowndes has been in charge of developing Pressalit’s UK subsidiary. He has generated growth by selling Pressalit Care solutions, thereby increasing knowledge of better accessibility for people with disabilities.
“The Medal of Honour is a reward for our company and our efforts to promote facilities for people with disabilities. Personally, I think it is important for us to constantly improve conditions and treat people with disabilities on an equal footing with everyone else,” says Andrew Lowndes.
It would also seem that in recent years awareness of this area has increased in the United Kingdom. This development has also generated huge business potential, when it comes to disabled toilet and bathroom facilities.
“In the United Kingdom we are seeing major political focus on improving conditions for the disabled in public places. It is in that area, where Andrew has been extremely active. Together with his team, Andrew has created sales growth in the UK market for accessible solutions, so it is now a highly profitable business for Pressalit,” says Kim Boyter.
The Danish Export Association and the Danish Trade Council are in charge of the presentation of HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honour. On Friday June 23rd, the award was presented at the Danish Embassy in London by the Danish Ambassador. Andrew Lowndes and his team was present, while Pressalit CEO, Kim Boyter and the company’s International Sales Director, Natascha Sandberg Hytting also attended the award ceremony.
